Emerald City Trapeze, Home to Seattle’s Only Indoor Flying Trapeze Rig, Offers Seattle A New Way to Fly in 2010

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) January 5, 2010 -- Emerald City Trapeze (http://emeraldcitytrapeze.com)is offering people a whole new perspective on 2010 – from 25 feet off the ground. The new trapeze arts school (http://emeraldcitytrapeze.com)is home to Seattle’s only indoor trapeze rig and offers daily classes in flying trapeze (http://emeraldcitytrapeze.com)lessons, aerial arts and more. There are classes for all skill levels -- from first-timers who are curious about what it’s like to fly to seasoned performers who want to hone their skills.

“Since opening our doors in October, we’ve been thrilled to see how excited people are about having a flying trapeze rig right here in Seattle,” said Gary Kirkland, at Emerald City Trapeze. “All of us are so passionate about sharing the fun and exhilaration of flying on a trapeze. We want 2010 to be the year that everyone in Seattle gets to fly.”

And for anyone who has made a new year’s resolution about staying fit in 2010, flying trapeze (http://emeraldcitytrapeze.com)lessons are an invigorating full-body workout that builds core strength and increases flexibility and agility. And perhaps most importantly, working out on a flying trapeze is a blast.

To kick off 2010, Emerald City Trapeze is offering a 2-for-1 special during the month of January on flying trapeze classes. Students who bring in a first-time flyer will get 2-for-1 pricing on their lesson.

First-time Flyers - What To Expect from a Flying Trapeze Class

The experienced instructors at Emerald City Trapeze teach students to fly in a safe, encouraging environment. Two-hour classes begin with safety instructions, stretching exercises and then move to ground lessons where students practice beginning positions and fundamentals necessary for flying on the trapeze. Then, students are ready to climb up to the platform where safety lines are attached to their safety belt. An instructor stays on the platform throughout the class with the students, while another instructor gives specific coaching from below. Throughout the class, instruction is tailored to each student’s skill level. In one session, a student can move from novice to learning a catch with a professional instructor. Every flight ends with the student lowered safely into the net.
